Instructor Saddler came to Orlando in 1994 to achieve her dreams of becoming a stuntplayer in television, motion pictures and live action performances, working at Universal Studio’s Sinbad Adventure Show. It was here at Universal that Susan met Chief Instructor Moldovan.
After several conversations the two joined forces, and passions, to begin training people in this new, dynamic system of self-defense. An experienced martial artist, under the training of Sifu Mimi Chan at the Wah Lum Temple in Orlando, Florida, Instructor Saddler has brought her ability, passion and sense of humor to Fighting Chance.
A gifted and intuitive teacher, Susan often in training will respond off the page. But she does it so well that her intuitive movie will be incorporated into the technique and improve it.
She is focused, passionate and fierce, often inspiring awe in many of her female students. Not afraid to be “roughed up,” Instructor Saddler often plays victim to Instructor Ray’s “bad guy,” in the constant quest to keep the techniques simple and efficient.
“Teaching the system is by far the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done. I am living my dream of being a professional stuntplayer, but meeting Jeff and teaching a self-defense science that can and will save lives, has helped change my life. The goal of the Fighting Chance Instructors is to arm everyday citizens with the knowledge and skills that can give them a fighting chance in an increasingly violent world and I truly believe we are doing that.” — Susan Saddler, Instructor in Fighting Chance Combat Systems
